This is an immersive weekend devoted to creating the conditions for a fundamentally new experience of being in your body—one in which your body can become a place of refuge, opening a natural space for deep healing and a truly resourcing and transformative experience to take place.
With gentle musical guidance towards the core of your own inner experience, through breath and attentive movement, you will be led into a state where you are able to listen for and respond to what is needed most by your body and spirit.
This comes in the form of:
• Stiffness that limits how you would like to move.
• Pain that endlessly calls your attention.
• A perpetual drain on your energy.
• Joylessness.
When we feel that our body and our life force are working against us, our world becomes smaller and more grim.
This weekend invites you into a new kind of space where you will slow down and feel what your body is communicating. From being in a sensorial relationship with what is taking place within you, new possibilities will be revealed.
When you begin to move from a place that is connected to your senses—in response to what your body says or wants—then you can truly break free of conditioned responses and move into your own authenticity.
The Pre-Tense is dropped for what is actually self-nourishing and real.
When you are moving and existing in your own body from this core place—which starts with feeling what is happening—then you heal simply by dropping whatever else has been holding your body hostage.
The expression of this in motion is Your Healing Dance.
The way to enter a space where your senses are present and you own your experience is to SLOW DOWN.
You will be introduced to a practice called TAO’OM—a form of deep, interoceptive somatic practice honoring guided by your own senses into places that may have gone unattended or perhaps been forgotten.
This is a powerfully held container that allows for a deep and gradual personal process of discovery, release and regeneration.
A 35-year-old martial artist, collaborator of Ecstatic Dance, developer of TAO’OM—The Tao of Movement—and creator of The Lions Hunt, a men’s rites-of-passage program, Ian has spent decades exploring how our bodies can heal, rejuvenate and revitalize.
What Ian brings is a map built from the inside out. He knows firsthand that healing, trust, strength and aliveness are experiences that must be inhabited. He guides people into a different relationship with their bodies—one in which the truth emerges from within, becoming a beacon for direction and a resource for embodied joyfulness.
Ian creates spaces where people can slow down and feel what is actually present. From this place of embodied presence, you can stop overruling yourself and begin responding to the intelligence within you.
Imagine…
Breathing clean air, drinking pure spring water and eating food prepared with love. Your body rejuvenating and your senses coming online.
Connecting with yourself and others on their own healing journeys.
There is no fanfare here. This beautiful Madoc property invites you into the things we all love in life: fresh air, water, fire, nature, stillness and natural beauty. Most of all, it offers room to step away from ordinary life and enter your healing journey.
At the Naturalize Immersion, you will spend your time in a cozy turn-of-the-century farmhouse with six country bedrooms, large comfortable living areas, a lazy back porch and plenty of land.
Food will be prepared as a welcome support for your journey. Prepared with care and intention—clean, whole and delicious.
Eating together, the table is where the day integrates and where we come down from the intensity to remember the simple pleasure of being nourished.
This journey takes place in a part of Hastings County known as The Land Between. Surrounded by protected wildlife lands, turtles, snakes and fowl of every kind share this place. Frogs and coyotes fill the night with sound.
The wild here is raw and real—and has a way of returning you to yourself without effort.
This is a weekend of tuning to a channel where you can feel all of what is taking place within your own body. It is about connection to your personal and inner experience, and not about mastering any technique.
• A slowing down of body and mind.
• A lowering of the volume of thoughts and an increase in the experience of sensation.
• Support that comes from this held environment and the genuine connection with your own inner intuitive movement.
• Revelation of what your body has been needing and asking for.
• A new perspective on the possibilities for growth and healing.
• Time in a natural setting that decompresses and nourishes.
• A way of resourcing yourself through any external situation.
• A newfound joy in being in your body.
Maybe you have been living with pain for far too long, relying on doctors and practitioners for solutions that have not yet come.
Perhaps you are dealing with immobility or fragility that has contracted your life experience and is keeping you from doing more.
It may be about living listlessly—not having joy or fun, feeling a certain dullness that you cannot shake.
You may simply want to increase your flexibility and range of motion.
This could be about looking for an edge—a way to improve your performance in your sport or in daily life.
You may be wrapped up in worry or anxiousness, spending too much time in your head and not knowing how to live from the body.
This is a powerfully held container that allows for a deep and gradual personal process of discovery, release and regeneration.
